Sandbridge Community Chapel UMC (Virginia Beach, VA)  is seeking a Director of Youth Ministries to provide opportunities for youth (6th - 12^th grade)  to grow in discipleship together.  We are a growing, multi-generational congregation with committed volunteers ministering to young people.  The Director of Youth Ministries will oversee, empower and expand this team to reach community youth more effectively.  Responsibilities include oversite of the current Shoreline Youth ministry and Youth Surf Club volunteers, coordination of special events for youth, and hands on development of a youth discipleship and mission ministry.  This is a salaried, 20 hr/wk position which requires presence at weekly Sunday worship but otherwise offers flexible hours.  A bachelor's degree is preferred, with some youth ministry experience.  Candidates must possess a strong faith in Jesus Christ, an ability to work with a team and a passion for sharing Jesus with young people.  Effective communication, organization, and leadership are essential.
