About Sandbridge Community Chapel

Welcome! Sandbridge Community Chapel is a United Methodist Church located in the heart of the Sandbridge community and a block from Sandbridge Beach. We are a multi-generational church with members & attendees of all ages.   Through worship, hospitality, discipleship groups and service opportunities vacationers and long term residents alike find community and sense of belonging for all.  We are committed to connecting to God and his people, growing together in faith and serving others according to Jesus' example. 


Sandbridge Community Chapel offers a rich and welcoming experience  on Sunday mornings with a come as you are blended Worship service at 9:30 am and Discipleship Groups for all ages at 10:45 am.  All are welcome!

Meet our pastor

Saunnie Butts

Pastor Saunnie is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and the University of Virginia. She has been a Pastor of the Virginia Conference since 2017 and previously served for over twenty years in Youth Ministry, Young Life and Missions. She has a passion for evangelism to young people and families, as well as social justice ministries to homeless and hungry individuals. With experience in leading both traditional and contemporary worship, Saunnie’s dynamic, down to earth style of preaching and teaching transitions easily across worship platforms, including social media.
